How to setup MetaMask for zkSync Era Network
In this guide, we explain how to setup Metamask for zkSync Era.
zkSync Era is a general-purpose zk-rollup platform from Matter Labs aiming at implementing nearly full EVM compatibility in its zk-friendly custom virtual machine.
It preserves key EVM features such as smart contract composability while introducing some new concept such as native account abstraction.
In this guide, we demonstrate how to setup Metamask for zkSync Era.
Pre-requisites
- MetaMask extension installed on the browser
- At least one wallet created or imported

Connecting MetaMask to zkSync Era
Switch the connected blockchain by clicking on the tab saying Main Ethereum Network, we need to add zkSync Era.
Scroll down until you find Add Network.
Enter in the zkSync Era settings as follows:
- Network name: zkSync Era Mainnet
- RPC URL: https://mainnet.era.zksync.io
- Chain ID: 324
- Currency: ETH
- Explorer: https://explorer.zksync.io
Click Save.
You have now connected to the zkSync Era with your Metamask Wallet!
Transactions on zkSync Era requires ETH which will be used as gas fee.
